How do you view afros?

okay. it was a hairstyle in the 60s and 70s. its how our hair looks naturally. so it wasn't just a trend. for the idiots that think that. its coming back in more ways than one. i get a lot of stares for it. its not the attractive stares i used to get when i was perming/pressing my hair. now i could perm it or press it again, but that isn't me, and i want to have hair when i get older. i have a lot of it now. more than i did perming it. i've seen so many perm victims to the point when they take their hairweave out their is no hair. so my question to those who have and have afros what do you think of them? would you wear one? cute? ugly? odd? what do you think?

I love afro's on african american women. But not so much on men. I think the afro hairstyle is the sexiest hairstyle a black woman can have. To tell you the truth, an afro is not one of my favorites. But I am sure there are plenty of people who like it. And I don't think it should matter what or how people look at you, if you like it, then wear it. If it makes you feel good, then wear it. I see many people come into my salon and they have many different and unusual hairstyles, and I am sure that they get plenty of looks, but the thing is, that does not stop them from doing what they want or what they like with their hair.

Your hair needs to have a shape to it so get a good haircut and avoid having it too dry. Keep it clean and neat and I think it will look lovely.

I think short fros are cute, on a guy or girls. But when they get too long (and un kept) its nasty. The length of the fro in your profile picture is a little too long..a little shorter is more attractive on a guy or girl. No one wants to date Bozo the Clown!
