Why are so many celebs going brunette?

Britney, Hillary Duff, Scarlett Johanneson, Jessica Simpson. It's not light brown either, but a dark brown that doesn't flatter them. I know that Britney, for example, naturally has light brown hair, but I think she looked best with a sandy blonde color. Most people look best staying within the range of their natural color. My hair is dark brown naturally, and I don't see why this color is becoming a trend. Not many people can carry it off unless it is their natural color. A French beauty consultant said that to look younger, you should wear your hair a shade lighter than your natural color. I think a lot of the stars I mentioned look great as blondes, so why the major color change. Dark brown looks very unnatural on them, IMO. Do you think everyone will go back to wanting to be blonde soon?

Personally, I think that the dark brown that a lot of celebrities are going to looks much more natural than the blonde they were before. Of course, it depends on whom I'm speaking of, but I like this new turn to brunette.

Back when Reese Witherspoon was brunette, I LOVED it, though she also looked good as a blonde.

I think she looks much more mature now, but not old.

As for Britney, I don't think the color of her hair matters. It's a rat's nest either way.

Because most or all of them were blonds and while blonds were known as adolescents brunette represents a more mature sofisticated person because they have a rep of being more serious. Its the stars way of showing they are mature adults and not crazy kids anymmore

Remember, they ARE normal people, and normal people drastically change their hair color every day. Celebrities just happen to be people who we see way more often then the rest of the world.
