I'm getting a new haircut this Thursday...my hair is about 8 inches past my shoulders.

are there any websites you could suggest that I look at to get the latest trends and possibly a website that shows different angles of the haircut to give my hairdresser a good idea of what I'd like?

i dont know of anyweb sites, but when you go to the salon ask them for a book to look at before you get your hair cut.

I just got my hair cut it was the same length as yours. Im not going to give you an answer from some website. I cut mine about an inch from my shoulders. I got layers all over then bangs. I absolutly love it! I dont think you should go for a trend. I just told her a bunch of different things i liked and she put them together. tell her what you like as she cuts it. thats what I did and i love it!

I have heard of the website makeoversolutions.com where you can do a virtual makeover on your own pic, but I have never tried it.

I go threw magazines and rip out all the hair cuts i like,then i make my own by asking for the bangs on one page and the layers on another,then the length on an other.My best haircuts are when i go in the hair dressers with my hair naturally dried and how i normally where it.

Be picky if they cutt to much off SAY something.

This is a great site, helps you customize with your frame of face, hair etc. I hope this helps.. Also, I suggest that you buy the celebrities hairstyle magazine... I think thats the title, they have clip and save pics that have all sorts of styles, colors and I often find that the PON salon in California have some of the best styles ! Good luck !

search yahoo images for hair styles photo it comes up with loads or look through magazines finding faces similar in shape ect to your own.

Always keep in mind that even if you find a hairstyle that perfectly matches what you are looking for, it probably won't look the same on you as it does in the picture. I recommend bringing pictures with style elements you like (choppy, layered, etc.) and using those to give your hairstylist a better idea of what you are looking for.

Why don't you cut it really short? So many girls have the same hairstyle now. I used to have the same length as yours but decided to chop it all off... it's really liberating, I have so much more confidence now and everyone always comments on how good and unique it looks.
