Scrunchies are passe?

I recently read someone say on a message board I frequent that scrunchies are a trend that has passed! I wear them all the time. They're much better for hair than rubber bands, even coated ones. I don't wear the big fat ones in bold colors, but the thinner ones in either brown to match my hair color, or neutral shades like black or tan. WTF, scrunchies are dated? I wear my hair in a ponytail much of the time because I'm growing it out, and it's at an awkward length. One day I was wearing a coated rubber band when I went to the hairdresser, and she said no way - wear scrunchies because those bands cause breakage. What do you think about scrunchies?

Scrunchies aren't old. It just depends on who wears them. This question made me think back to who in my secondary school actually wears them. True, most people wear the little coated bands (me included), but non-flashy scrunchies are perfectly fine. Trust me. ^_^

I think scrunchies are for children under the age of ten. Everyone else is too old, the trend has passed. And I know from experience that there are other things you can put in your hair that don't cause breakage.

lol...the article is right...scrunchies are so dated and people make fun of them, there was an episode on sex and the city where they were making fun of scrunchies and this lady was wearing one and Carrie's friend was like "see people still wear them" and then they talked to her and she was an older country lade (Ok the plot is something close to that)

but they are better for your hair you are correct, wear a no grip claw instead it has rubber on the inside and stays put.

Get some of those "ouchless" hair bands that are clear. They will hold your hair well and not cause breakage :)

Watch Sex and the City... scrunchies are totally outdated. Scrunches are for the gym or for kids. I haven't worn a scrunchy since the 80's.

scrunchies can get a little un-fashionable. first of all, even if they're thin, it is very noticable. for me, i dont wear srunchies. but i say you keep wearing them, thats your signature style. dont let trends stop it.
