1. the grunge look - the messy hair, flannel shirts, wrinkled tees, ripped jeans with a chain belt, and dirty sneakers. i wouldn't step out in public looking like a rolled out of bed. destroyed jeans is the only style i think is hot though.

2. the avril lavigne trend - ties with your tees. wtf??? ties belong on your shirts and suits, not on your tees. very tacky!

3. throwback jersey look - why sport a jersey trying to look like a professional basketball player? if you're not on the basketball court, then don't wear one.

4. overalls and suspenders - overalls make you look like a country bumpkin and suspenders are just quite dorky! especially when a person wears it with a pair of high waisted jeans. eckkk!!!

The grunge look is definitely the worst! I remember when it was popular during the 90s. I used to wonder why grunge clothes were so bloody expensive when all a person had to do was go to a yard sale and get the same s**t for a lot less. And not only that, but their music sucked! It was all so depressing! It's no wonder Kurt Cobain killed himself!

Back in the 80's when I was in high school, LEG WARMERS and big shirts with shoulder pads, worn over tight leggings were "in"...I CRINGE looking back on my yearbook photos and seeing myself in a hot pink big shirt over black leggings!!

I have to admit that I am having a bit of a hard time coming to terms with the length of some of the women's shoes I am seeing (and have been for a while) with those really pointy toes. The toes stick out so far I wonder how they keep from tripping on curbs and stairs. I would be absolutely falling down if I had to wear them. I also wonder how they manage in crowded spaces, they must be getting stepped on all the time.

Here are my top five fashion faux pas:

5. I hate when people wear those Crocs *the new clogs with holes in them* in public. Those hideous things are meant to stay in the garden.

4. Overalls. They are just to hickish and dorky for me.

3. Fishnet clothing in general. They are just too trashy and leave very little to the imagination.

1. Pajamas that are worn in public. This is a big thing at my school. I see girls who wear their PJs to class all of the time. It is sloppy and unprofessional. What are their future employers going to think if they come to work looking like that?

Sweats are not a fashion statement. No, not even if you have the matching jacket and paid a bloody fortune for them because they have a team logo on them or were made somebody who thought it would be fun to add clothing designer to their repertoire!

Men wearing their jeans and "so called shorts" half way down their butt (some just under their butts) and their underwear showing.

In general, women and men with pants extra long that the bottoms are tearing and are as dirty as the ground they drag them through. Add that to some flip flops everywhere is just plain dumb and sends a signal of dirtyness and laziness.

Those are all great. But my generation today has added the extreme low rise jeans. Yes I know they are the biggest trend today but there are some girls that just shouldn't be wearing them. It squeezes all the fat up and your left with a muffin top (where the fat hangs out the sides) and everyone can see your thongs! You all know who you are. Wear what fits please for all of us.
