I recently got into this trend where I would shave down stairs, however it itches like crazy once it grows back and it also produces an ugly razor rash. Now, I am not in a sexual relationship or anything and I was wondering If I would be considered nasty if I stopped shaving that area. I mean the pain of shaving is really excruciating. I take baths regularly and wear cotton panties and I don't grow a lot of hair. So, I am wondering if I would be considered unhygienic for not shaving that area even if I take baths as I should etc.
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
Of course it's not nasty! I don't know why people would think that. It's actually recently that the idea you have to shave it all has come about, and even then, there are plenty of people (including young people) that don't shave, especially when they're not in a relationship! There is no point in doing something that makes you so uncomfortable. I can imagine how it can be irritating - I only shave the sides occasionally and I even get a few ingrown hairs and stuff from that. But for most of my life I've just left it - nobody saw it, and nobody will see yours - when you get a partner you can shave, or ask him what he prefers. There is nothing dirty about having hair there, provided you bathe often and all and it doesn't get dried gunge, which I think is very unlikely. Hair isn't unhygienic by itself - in fact, it's there for a reason. I'm only 19 and leave most of it - my bf doesn't mind. Most teenage guys aren't going to complain, at least not for a while - they're just happy to be getting some action.

If it's uncomfortable don't do it. If anything just keep it nice and short. Buy yourself a beard trimmer and use that, or if you can stand the pain, wax. It may hurt to wax but it lasts longer and it doesn't get itchy when it grows back.
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
Definitely not. It's the womans preference. But if you don't like to shave you could try a mans razor down there. Its designed to cut the coarse hairs on a mans face and it works equally well on a woman. Those are very expensive however. You could try waxing but that is quite painful. I use nair bikini alot. Just be extra careful around the vagina. Its painless and it leaves no razor burn! It is a little inconvenient because you have to let it sit for 10 minutes- but it is definitely worth it. Hope some of these were helpful.

i say if you dont like it you dont liek it its natural hair and men cant expect you to get rid of it just to impress em or to go with the trend they be lucky there gettin some... dont let what other people are doing get to you if you dont feel comfertable doing it....
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
Why would it be unhygienic to stop shaving? Shaving is more a preference than it is about cleanliness.
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
Don't do it. It's not a good trend to get into. It gets itchy because of your underware. I cut it too short and it itched. Just don't it anymore, let it grow LOL.
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
Instead of shaving, which I think you ought to stop. Why says pubic hair is nasty? We all have it, most women do not shave it, but if it bothers you you can cut it a bit shorter with scissors. The main point it, stop shaving (I am a woman) men (in most countries) do not really mind, they too have hair down there right?
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
It's not unhygienic to not shave. If you prefer to have less hair down there use electric clippers instead of a razor. It keeps things nice and short without the ouch factor of razor burn.
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
Its your body and if you don't want to shave then don't. Its not bad or nasty. If you feel the need too you can get some scisssors and trim down there. But don't do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable with your body.
Embarassing Question About Shaving the Private Area?
It is your personal choice. If you don't like it, don't do.
