im indian, dark brown w/ black hair and black just happens to look really good on me so i like wearing black nail polish. im not a goth or anything, and im slightly emo but not really, no one would label me as one. i like to wear lots of black eyeliner but i think it looks really nice on me. again, i wear black clothes sometimes b/c i look good in black and its slimming

black is a trend, or was a trend, but i've always liked to wear it. however, i've been feeling hesitant lately as im starting college now and im worried that i'll be perceived wrong. my mom hates when i wear it, she says that she doesn't want ppl to think that im "ruined" or "spoiled" b/c good girls don't wear black nail polish. but i am a "good girl", im playful, i smile a lot, and i laugh a lot and im really studious. do you think i should scrap wearing the black nail polish? i can't bring myself to stop wearing it but as soon as i step out of the house, my confidence in it just drops. help!

Hun, if you can pull of wearing black nail polish, I say go for it, it doesn't look right on most people, but if you really are worried what people may think of it, try a dark purple or blue or even red, that is not black.

ok i didnt read ur whole thing but i wear black nail polish all the time somtimes with pink or purple stripes on them but no i dont think it looks goth as long as u dont wear too much black u shud b ok

no. it's trendy. loads of celebs who definetely ARENT goths wear it, its just that some celebs who vare goths happen to like it.

no. but if you've got long finger nails, i suggest doing a black tip rather than the whole nail being black.

i odnt like black nail polish..try mixing your black eyeliner with silver shimmery turquoise or gold.. i think shimmery colors would compliment your skin tone..i think you should try lining your eyes with black liquid eyeliner and then use a fine powder eyeshadow below it it looks awesome and also black mascara :] i think that if you wore light washed skinny jeans, silver flats, and a nice top w/ your black nail polish you would be able to pull it off, but personally i dont really like black nail polish but thats just me

i dont think the black nail polish would really mean any thing cuz black is hot right now but if your worried you should always do a french manicure with white tips i to balnce out the black clothes .i think white tips is always classy and it makes your nails look nice

no you should keep it. if people judge you on your nails you shouldn't hang out with them or care what they think. here is my story: i dance alot so i was getting food from downtown to eat inbetwween classes it was a week or two before halloween. BTW i am the least gothic person in the world! and as i handed the man behind the counter money he had the nerve to say this "are you rebeling against the world?" in was taken aback " what on earth are you talking about?"i said "your nails" he said "they are black are you rebeling?" i was like "Are you kidding that is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard i painted them black for halloween but just cuz some1's nails are black doesn't mean they are rebel!?!?!?
